Professor R K Joshi (born 1936 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, died 5 February 2008 in San Francisco, USA) was an academic type designer and calligrapher. He designed the core Indian fonts used in Microsoft Windows. Professor R K Joshi Designer, Artist, Teacher, Calligrapher and Poet passionately contributed a life time of work towards Indian typography and type design.
